Melvin E. Moss, age 41, a farmer and carpenter, formerly of Putnam County, died in his sleep at his home in eastern Kansas Friday. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Menlo, Kansas.

The deceased man was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Moss and was born and reared in Putnam County. The family survivors are the widow. Beulah; four daughters, Mrs. Anna Marie Jacob, of Hoxie, Kan.: Mrs. Sharon Kaye Millsap of Whiting, Ind.; and Victoria Tamaria, at home; one son, Thomas Moss, of Menlo. Kan., and two grandchildren: six sisters, Mrs. Mildred B. Vanatti, of Brazil: Mrs. Laura Lena Blair, of Danville; Mrs. Myrtle Harris, of Marion: Mrs. Jennie Frye. of Brazil: Mrs. Joan Lucas of Brazil; Mrs. Betty Rainbolt of Indianapolis. – thanks to MLH
